GLARE SHIELDS

Avion glare shields are installed as a replacement for the original glare shield.   If a compass is installed on the top of the panel it can be re-installed onto the mounting block in the new glare shield.  The panel lighting is available in both 14 and 28 volt systems. The glare shield lighting built in power supply can be connected to the standard aircraft light dimmer or a new dimmer can be installed.

INSTALLATION
  • Fits over top deck.
  • No sheet metal removal necessary.
  • Windshield removal unnecessary.
  • Compass mounting points.
  • Attaches with two sheet metal screws.
  • 1-2 hour installation time.
  • Requires FAA 337 Field Approval. (Examples available)
FLOODLIGHTING
  • Dimmable fluorescent floodlighting.
  • Continuous adjustment from off to full bright.
  • Integral fluorescent power supply.
  •  14 volts @ 500 mA or 28 volts @250 mA.
  • Wire to existing a/c dimmer or add new transistorized dimmer assembly.
  • Can be used as courtesy lighting.
